PBB Bingo is Powhatan Band Boosters largest ongoing fundraiser! Held every Saturday night, bingo workers earn points towards their student accounts by helping to work in various positions during the bingo session. Workers arrive at the bingo building by 4:30pm for setup, sales of bingo games begins at 5:15pm, the first games begin at 6pm & run until approximately 10pm. Workers are expected to stay through final cleanup of the building (which is usually finished by 10:15pm). Workers leaving before final cleanup is complete will not earn points without prior approval from the PBB Bingo Manager. Profit from the PBB Bingo Kitchen Concessions is divided among workers & applied as band points in their student accounts monthly. Workers average 15-20 points per bingo session. points cannot be taken out of student accounts as cash money but may be applied to all band related equipment & activities such as Preseason Marching Band, Marching Band fees, instruments, uniforms, Winter Percussion fees, Winter Guard Longevity fees, band trips, even incidentals such as reeds, etc. Per Department of Charitable Gaming rules, workers must be at least 14 years old but parents & siblings of younger students may work in their place to earn points towards their accounts. In addition, PMS & PJHS students may earn 1/2 points when their parents & older siblings work for them. Students may have as many as 3 people working towards their student accounts at any time but must be listed on the bingo schedule to earn point. Workers are ALWAYS needed!
