PBB Mission Statement

The purpose of the Powhatan Band Boosters (PBB) is to provide financial & voluntary support to the Powhatan High School Bands & Ensembles. Since its inception in 1990, PBB oversees fundraising activities to further the endeavors of the Powhatan Bands & Ensembles.

Tips for Approaching Businesses about Sponsorship

Getting a business to place an ad in the Fall Classic Program book is a great and simple way to add to your student’s band account. It also lets our community hear about our fantastic marching band at PHS!

How do I do this you ask? - Follow these suggestions:

• Read the form first so that you know more! Then, take a Program Sponsorship Form to a local business and answer questions about the band and the spectacular Fall Classic Event.
  
  
• Leave your name and contact number so they can you call back if necessary.
  
  
• Don’t forget to put your name somewhere on the form to get credit in your child’s band account.
  
  
• Return the completed forms, with checks made payable to Powhatan Band Boosters, to Anita Toone, (Sarah-flute).
  
  
• All donations and artwork must be submitted by October 2nd.
  
  
• Businesses may give you a business card or camera-ready artwork that can be emailed to Julie Garber.
  
  
• We can only accept artwork that is ready to use.
  
  
• Call Anita Toone, 598-3450, with any questions or to let her know that you have a completed form.
  
  
• More forms are available via PBB website or from Mrs. Toone. Powhatan Fall Classic is a great competition so don’t forget to invite businesses to attend even if they don’t place an ad.
