What is a Student Account & how do I set mine up?

Your Student Account is an account you can use to help cover various band related fees by applying points you have earned working PBB Bingo & PBB Concessions directly towards fees.  Your Student Account is automatically setup when you are enrolled in any band program - Classroom, Ensembles, Marching Band, Winter Percussion & Winter Guard.

How does it work?

Students work PBB Bingo &/or PBB Concessions.  points are earned for the dates they work & are added to their Student Account on a monthly basis.  points may be applied to any band related fees & equipment.

What can I use points in my Student Account for?

points in your Student Account may be used towards anything related to band - Preseason Marching Band, Marching Band Fees, Instruments, Winter Percussion, Winter Guard, Uniforms, Band Trips (London for example), etc.  If you have any questions ask your band director or band teacher for more information.

How can I earn points for my Student Account?

points may be earned working PBB Bingo & PBB Concessions.   PBB Bingo is held weekly & PBB Concessions is held during the PHS Football season.  Students have the opportunity to alleviate all out of pocket band related fees, etc. by working to earn points.

How can I apply my Student Account points to band fees, etc?

Your parents will need to contact the PBB Treasurer in writing by e-mail or a note left in the Band Boosters Box in band room with a request to apply points in your student account.  Be sure to include your first & last name, student account, phone number, e-mail address, & what you would like your points applied to.  Please allow 30 days for the transaction to take place & show in your Student Account.

When I leave PJHS do points I've earned there automatically transfer to my PHS Student Account?

Yes, points earned in your Student Account while you were at PJHS will automatically transfer.

What if I don't have enough points in my Student Account to pay for band fees, etc?

If you would like to apply points to certain items but don't have enough points to cover the item total the balance may be paid with cash or check.  At no time will your Student Account contain a negative balance.

How do I know how many points are in my Student Account?

Contact the PBB Treasurer by e-mail or a note in the Band Boosters Box in the band room at PHS.  points are applied on a monthly basis so remember that recent points may not yet have been applied.

Can I take points out of my Student Account to apply to other school fees, etc?

No - points are not considered cash money & can only be applied to band related fees.  Other school fees must be paid by other means.

If I leave the band program, what happens to points in my Student Account?

If you decide to leave the band program points remain in your account until the end of the school year & then transfer to the Powhatan Band Boosters general fund.

What happens to points in my Student Account after I graduate?

Once you graduate any points remaining in your Student Account will be applied to the PBB General Fund.  If you have siblings that will be attending PHS within a reasonable amount of time your Student Account balance will remain until they reach PHS.
